Two teenagers who allegedly robbed a convenience store in the Toronto suburb of Oakville, ON, ran out of the store with whatever cash was on hand. After being notified of the robbery, police asked a local taxi company to report suspicious calls. A dispatcher tipped them off to a panting caller who asked for a pickup in the vicinity of the store, and when the cab arrived the two teens “emerged from a wooded area and said they called for a cab,” reports Reuters. But the cab had been intercepted by two police officers, one of whom was in the driver's seat, and the thieves were arrested on the spot.
