Marlon Brando Gill, 24, is on trial for assault for allegedly shoving a cell phone down a woman’s throat because, prosecutors contend, he was angry and jealous. Defense attorneys explain that the victim, Melinda Abell, 25, intentionally swallowed the phone herself so Gill wouldn’t find out who she had been talking to – presumably, because she feared he’d be angry and jealous. The Stiletto doesn’t know how the jury can possibly come to a verdict since even the victim doesn’t know which of the two scenarios is believable beyond a reasonable doubt. According to her testimony, she was too wasted that night to recall exactly how she ended up with the phone in her throat.
