NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Don’t Believe Everything You See On TV


"Good Day New York” anchor Jodi Applegate can’t take a joke. Casey and Van Neistat, who had made a video showing how easy it is to steal a bike in New York City, were supposed to offer a live demonstration in front of Fox 5's Upper East Side studio. But the brothers pulled a fast one on Jodi:  As she looked on, Van started sawing through a bicycle chain with an electric grinder, while Casey described what he was doing. At one point, Casey leaned towards the grinder, and then started screaming in pain. He popped the hidden packets of ketchup in his fist and smeared the sauce all over his throat, then fell to the ground writhing. But he was up in a flash laughing and reassuring Applegate that they were “just kidding.” She went ballistic, and made the cameraman stop filming while telling viewers not to “be upset,” and assuring them that none of the goings on was “planned by me.”

    I saw this "live". And it was not fun. Jody was caught off guard and it scared her. She's pregnant. The guys were jerks.
