WHAT A BUNCH OF HEELS!: Michael’s Regulars Forget Their Manners
When Laura Bush was in New York City last week, she wanted to lunch at Michael's on West 55th Street – but no one on her staff apparently remembered to make reservations. She and her party were seated in The Garden Room way in the back of the restaurant, instead of at one of the booths hugging the walls in the front where the movers and shakers sit. Leonard Lauder, Linda Janklow, Peter Brown, Georgette Mosbacher, Ahmet Ertegun and Louise Sunshine all "gaped" as she went by, reports the New York Post, but none of them thought to give their table to the First Lady. The Stiletto is particularly stunned at Mosbacher’s lack of couth, as she is Republican.
