NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Couple Jailed After Trysting In Mosque


Peter Kimani and Jennifer Wairimu, who were caught having sex in a Kenyan mosque during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, have been sentenced to 18 months imprisonment for what the judge called an "abominable" affront to religion. Kimani and Wairimu, neither of whom is Muslim, pleaded for clemency, on the grounds that they were too drunk to know where they were. Senior Magistrate John King'ori was unmoved. Islam forbids alcohol consumption, so this wasn’t the most persuasive argument the couple could have made to summon his pity. The Stiletto wishes someone like King'ori could have meted out similar justice to Opie and Anthony back in 2002.
