WHAT A HEEL!: Kitten Killer Quits

Wade Pilloud resigned as principal of the K-12 Indus school, 40 miles west of International Falls, MN, in the wake of the firestorm that erupted after he pumped bullets into two orphaned kittens on school grounds so they wouldn’t starve to death after their mother was killed in an animal trap. Though several students were still at the school participating in after-school activities and heard the shots, John Mastin, acting sheriff in Koochiching County said that no one was in danger. However, Pilloud could face charges of felony possession of a firearm on school property and reckless discharge of a firearm, a misdemeanor. After the September 21 incident, the district put Pilloud on administrative leave, after which he agreed to an undisclosed settlement and resigned.

The Stiletto demands to know why there were no animal shelters in Koochiching County to which Pilloud could have taken these poor, defenseless kittens instead of having to off them. How many more kitten assassinations must occur in MN before every county in the state gets at least one animal shelter?
