WHAT A HEEL!: What Happens When You Cross A Guy With A Crossbow?
Trying to merge onto Interstate 630 in midtown Little Rock, AK, Steve Gilgenbach had to cut off an SUV driven by Wayne Allen Dierks Jr. Gilgenbach, a pitcher for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock baseball team, says Dierks followed him for several miles, cursing and yelling for him to pull over. Dierks then allegedly pulled alongside Gilgenbach’s car and shot at it with a crossbow. The arrow ricocheted off the back window, shattering it. Dierks was arrested and charged with committing a terroristic act – a felony – as well as possession of an instrument of crime, driving while intoxicated and driving on a suspended driver's license, which are misdemeanors. He is out on bail, and is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 25.
