NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Burglar Up A Tree

Long Islander Joseph Barwick, 31, allegedly burgled two stores selling beer and soda, then led the cops in a high-speed chase. After the car he had stolen from an auto body shop hit a dirt embankment, Barwick allegedly made a beeline for a wooded area, and
climbed 50 feet up a tree in an attempt to give Suffolk police the slip. Unfortunately, he fell out of his arboreal hideout and was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
