WHAT A HEEL!: There’s No Such Thing As A Free Lunch


Superior Court Judge David Chidester ordered Donna Shelby,19, to wash dishes at the Porter County (IN) Jail on Thanksgiving Day after she was convicted of leaving the Round the Clock restaurant without paying her $18.19 tab. The alternative sentence was handed down because the restaurant did not ask for restitution. At first, the judge wanted Shelby to do the dishes at Round the Clock, but the managers did not want her to step foot in their establishment again.
