NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: What Goes Around …
Tom Connolly – the Portland, ME, defense lawyer and Dem activist who divulged President Bush's drunken-driving arrest just days before the 2000 election – was charged with terrorizing, reckless conduct and criminal threatening after a Halloween prank in which he stood on a highway overpass during rush hour dressed as Osama bin Laden, waving what appeared to be an AK-47 assault rifle. The get-up also included a rubber mask, plastic dynamite and grenades. Connolly faces up to a year in prison on each of the three misdemeanors. His trial is scheduled to begin December 19th.
