Editorial Note: An ink-stained wretch of The Stiletto’s acquaintance - let’s call him "Phil" - is living proof that money can buy happiness. He has hooked up with a woman he describes as "independently wealthy" - let’s call her "Robin." In fact, Phil has mentioned her trust fund so often, The Stiletto actually thought "Independentlywealthy" was Robin's last name. He is positively giddy at the prospect of marrying the eight-figure inheritance Robin got from Uncle Ernie. The Stiletto might have felt sorry for Robin, but it turns out that she is as mercenary and opportunistic as Phil. Single New Yorkers should breathe a huge sigh of relief that these two found each other, and will not be foisting themselves on any of us.
