NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: While My Guitar Gently Weeps – From Laughter
Morgan Conatser, 29, is down on his luck, so he tried to steal a solid body electric guitar from a music store by hiding it under his clothing. Unfortunately, the instrument left a pretty noticeable bulge down his pant leg to the knee (where the neck was), and across the back of his leather jacket up to the collar. When storeowner Clifton Lovell saw Conatser walk out of the store he confronted him and got the guitar back. Then Lovell discovered a $200 wireless sound system had gone missing. Without a fuss, Conatser handed the sound system over to the sheriff's deputy who paid a visit to his home to investigate. The hapless shoplifter was arrested for theft of property under $500, a misdemeanor.
