NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: He’s No Tractor Trailer, That's For Sure!


David Allen Rodgers, 42, was driving a truck that pulled the float for the Steppin' Out Dance Studio in the Anderson, SC, Christmas parade. Witnesses say he suddenly pulled out in front of the tractor ahead of him in the parade, sped down Main Street and ran a red light. When police pulled him over after a three-mile chase, he tried to attack one of the officers. Rodgers allegedly had an open container of hooch in the truck, and was charged with DUI, 18 counts of kidnapping and assaulting an officer and about a dozen other offenses. Several people were riding on the float; one of them was his own child.
