GOODY TWO SHOES: We Are Not Amused


In an effort to reduce his "carbon footprint," Prince Charles has announced through a spokesperson that, "Wherever possible, we will be making less use of helicopters and chartered planes and rely more on car journeys, scheduled flights and trains." But planet saving may not be the prince’s only motive. The Associated Press notes that "pressure to be more cost-effective has seen the scrapping of the royal yacht Britannia and cuts in the use of the royal train."

The Stiletto bets that whenever he flies on a commercial jet, The Royal We will be sitting in First Class with all the other seats in his row left empty as a courtesy (the airline will likely comp the seats for the PR value of having a prince on board). His statement did not say "We will be crammed amongst commoners in coach whilst contemplating our carbon savings."
