WHAT HEELS!: A Shocking Case Of Sticker Shock

Last July a 60-year old mentally ill man wearing trousers stained with feces, ambled into the Huling Brothers dealership in West Seattle wanting to buy a $30,000 GMC Canyon pickup, and pay for it with the cash he claimed was stuffed inside a dresser drawer in his apartment. King County prosecutors allege that after selling the man the truck, Huling sales manager, Adrian G. Dillard, 32, went to the man’s apartment and stole the $70,000 that remained of the man’s stash – beating his underling Paul R. Rimbey, 39, to the punch. Then while the victim was being held at Harborview's psychiatric ward, Rimbey is accused of coercing the mentally ill man to sign over the new truck to him. Other Huling employees are under investigation for participating in the theft and possible cover-up. To his credit, Steve Huling, former owner of the dealership, repaid every dime that his employees allegedly stole from the victim.
