NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Birds Of A Feather
Attorney Rick Petri, 64, of Madison, WI, got a call from the police in the wee hours of the morning requesting that he pick up a client arrested for drunken driving. The officer asked Petri if he had been drinking, and told him he could come to the police station only if his blood-alcohol concentration was 0.08 percent or less. Earlier, Petri had been out and had a couple of drinks, then went home around 8 p.m. and had a couple more drinks before going to bed. He was sure he had "slept it off," but his BAC tested at 0.09 percent and he was arrested on the spot for drunken driving.
