NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Is It Only A Matter Of Time Before Eric Alterman Becomes Anorexic?
Writing in New York magazine, Lloyd Grove calls Eric Alterman "the aging-lefty Lindsay Lohan," and wonders whether the pundit is "spinning out of control" after his arrest at the Dem presidential debate in NH for allegedly "trespassing at a private party" and "deploying his argumentative zeal on one of the [party] organizers … then on the police officer who was summoned to escort him out, and then on the officer’s supervisor." As further evidence of Alterman’s "taste for mayhem," Grove also points to Alterman’s recent dust-up with Time magazine blogger Ana Marie Cox "about which of them was the better liberal." Alterman is out on bail, and has been ordered to appear in court later in the month.
