WHAT A HEEL!: Spend It If You Got It (By Mistake)
Minneapolis social worker Sabrina Walker, 37, has been charged with theft by swindle after going on a spending spree with a $2.59 million check from the state Department of Human Services that she received by mistake. According to the criminal complaint, the check cleared on April 4 and Walker used most of the money to open a bank account, purchase a treasury bond, set up retirement accounts, and buy vehicles, jewelry, electronics and limousine services. Walker is being held in the Hennepin County jail.
