WHAT A HEEL!: Vet’s Fake, Pets Ache
Young Sam Park, 52, has been indicted in Los Angeles County Superior Court on 23 felony counts and three misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty and practicing veterinary medicine without a license for allegedly smothering cats, dogs and other animals, or leaving them to die in trash bins. Among the acts of animal cruelty alleged in the grand jury indictment: suffocating a Chihuahua with a rubber glove, choking a cocker spaniel, hurling a kitten against a pole, clipping the ears of dogs without anesthesia and using casts made from concrete and plaster to set broken limbs, reports the Los Angeles Times. Park is being held on $451,000 bail, and faces up to 22 years in the state pen if convicted. Which means that by the time he got out, he'd be Old Sam Park.
