NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: At That Price, I’ll Take Two!

Chandon L. Simms, 23, of Monroe, LA, took bargain hunting a bit too far. He allegedly switched the $984 price tag of a 42-inch Sanyo Plasma TV with a price tag of an item selling for $4.88, then proceeded to "pay" for the TV at one of Wal-Mart’s self-checkout registers. Wal-Mart’s security officers, who saw the entire transaction, called the police. Simms was arrested on a single charge of felony theft.
