NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Burglar Not To Be Believed
When convicted burglar John Singleton was arrested, the police seized a Gucci watch and gold-colored bracelet he was wearing. Contending the jewelry belonged to him, Singleton sued. His attorney argued that police were able to match his loot to various burglary victims - except for these two items, which should be returned. But a Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court panel has ruled that Singleton isn’t entitled to get the bling back, because he does not have receipts to back up his claim that the jewelry was acquired legally.
