NOT THE SHARPEST KNIVES IN THE DRAWER: Cigarettes And Whisky And Stupid, Stupid Burglars
In an attempt to evade ground-level burglar alarms, Zagory Harris, 17, and Taylor Kraus, 15, tried to break into Southside Tobacco & Liquor, in Des Moines, IA, by drilling a hole through the roof. But they twice drilled into the overhang. Before they could try another spot, a woman walking her dog spotted them and threatened to call the cops if they didn’t get off the roof right away. The teens heeded her warning, and jumped off the roof – right in front of a security camera that captured very clear images of the duo, reports The Des Moines Register. They were charged with third-degree burglary and criminal mischief.
