Two men holding flowers knocked on the door of 80-year-old Carmen Nieves’ lower Manhattan apartment, and said she had to sign for the delivery. When she opened the door, they pushed her inside, tied her up and turned the place upside down looking for money. They found the $60K her husband had been saving to start a business. Michael Nieves had foolishly told someone about the money, and suspects that they were put up to the crime. Police have released a surveillance picture of the two suspects, who are described as Hispanic males, 20 to 30 years old, and are asking anyone who has information about this crime to come forward.
