NOT THE SHARPEST KNIVES IN THE DRAWER: A Ho Is Not Always A Hooker
Wire service Agence France Presse (AFP) reports that the US-based Westaff recruitment firm is asking Santas in Sydney Australia not to use the traditional “Ho, Ho, Ho” greeting because “it may be offensive to women.” They have been instructed to say “Ha, Ha, Ha” instead. The Stiletto is waiting for Disney to redub “Snow White” so the Seven Dwarves sing “Hi, Ha, Hi, Ha, It’s off to work we go,” lest anyone erroneously gets the idea that they are pimps greeting their employees, and are pushing them to start their shift walking the street.
In an unrelated development, on December 17th the Whitewood City, SD, town council is scheduled to take up a request to rename one of its streets. Rev. David Baer contends that Hooker Street is offensive to a percentage of the 800 residents of the town, reports The Associated Press. The street was named after a Civil War general but Baer doesn’t think “General Hooker Street” doesn’t cut it, either. The Stiletto doesn’t understand why the street can’t be called “General Joseph Hooker Street” since that was Fighting Joe’s full name.

Ah, dear Stiletto, you are PIC, PIC, PIC... Aurora won't be happy about this either.
