NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Got Change Of A Million?

Alexander D. Smith of Augusta, GA, tried to open an account at Regions Bank in Clearwater, SC with a $1,000,000 bill. The teller refused to accept the fake bill and called the Aiken County Sheriff's Office. Smith was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and forgery. The highest denomination of currency ever printed is the $100,000 bill, but the notes were used only for transactions between Federal Reserve Banks during the period December 18, 1934 through January 9, 1935 and were never circulated.
