NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Real Cop, Fake Cop
Traffic must be really, really bad in WA. In separate incidents last month, state patrol troopers arrested three men for driving cars tricked out like police vehicles and using blue lights, sirens and push bars to force other drivers out of their way on Interstate 5 in Pierce County. In the latest such occurrence, a 25-year-old Tacoma man in a Ford Mustang flashed blue emergency lights mounted on the grill and around the rear bumper in an effort to push through traffic, prompting other drivers to call 911. When troopers caught up with him they found that the car was also equipped with a speaker that “emitted sounds much like a police siren,” reports the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
