Editorial Note: But not if the health insurance provider retroactively cancels coverage after approving chemotherapy (third item, The Other Shoe Drops), or denies coverage for a potentially life-saving procedure, as in the case of leukemia patient Nataline Sarkisyan, 17, who died by the time Cigna HealthCare reversed it’s heartless – and medically baseless – decision that the liver transplant recommended by her doctors was “experimental.” The Sarkisyan family’s attorney, Mark Geragos, plans to ask the district attorney's office to press murder or manslaughter charges against Cigna.
