NOT THE SHARPEST KNIVES IN THE DRAWER: Life Imitates The Springfield Nuclear Power Plant

The Los Angeles Times reports that since 2001, teams of “nuclear forensic” specialists  comprised of 2,000 scientists and bomb experts “have been positioned across the nation to respond to threats of nuclear terrorism, and quickly identify the source of a nuclear attack or attempted attack.”

The Stiletto would like to suggest one potential source of unsecured nuclear material these teams could check out – and no, it’s not loose nukes in the Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan or Pakistan. It’s PA’s Peach Bottom nuclear power plant where a whistleblower videotaped security guards “snoozing against walls, slumped on tabletops or with eyes closed and heads bobbing,” reports The Washington Post.
