NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: When Sticking Your Tongue Out Is A Bad Idea

 

Gavin Dempsey and James Alexander were on flag duty at Jackson Elementary School in Chesterton, IN, when one of the fourth graders “double-dog dared" the other to imitate a scene from the movie "A Christmas Story" and stick his tongue on the frozen flagpole. Somehow, they both ended up in the predictable predicament. For his part, Dempsey tells The Associated Press that his distrust of the media led him to find out for himself what would happen: “I thought all of the TV shows were lies, but turns out I was wrong."

 

Hey, maybe that kid’s not so dumb after all – he doesn’t believe everything he sees on TV, and he can admit that he’s made a mistake.
