NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Nothing Makes A Liquor Run Like A Deere
Frank Kozumplik, 49, rode his John Deere tractor to a liquor store a couple of miles from his Adrian, MI, home in a snowstorm. When police spotted him, he was on his way back with four bottles of wine. He explained that his wife had driven the family car to work so he had no other means of transportation to get to the liquor store. Not surprisingly, his blood alcohol level was 2½ times the state’s legal driving limit of 0.08 percent, so the police arrested him and confiscated the mower, reports The Associated Press.
