WHAT A HEEL!: Stop! In The Name Of Love … Think It Over
The MD Commission on Judicial Disabilities has reprimanded Washington County Circuit Judge W. Kennedy Boone for calling three black female attorneys "the Supremes" in court, and advising the defendant to get "an experienced male attorney," reports The Associated Press. While admitting that his comments could be construed as racial and gender bias, Boone explained that “he was trying to protect the three public defenders from representing a difficult defendant.” That defendant later pleaded guilty to assault and cocaine possession and was sentenced to eight years in prison.
