What do British Nobel literature laureate Doris Lessing and former crack-dealer-cum-rapper 50 Cent have in common? One of them said: “If Barack Obama becomes the next US president he … would certainly not last long … They would murder him, he will surely be assassinated.” And the other said: "I'm not sure America's ready to have a black president. I think they might kill him."

 

Just who is this mysterious, malevolent “they”? Neither Lessing nor 50 said. The Stiletto will gladly contribute a farthing for their thoughts on the matter.
