NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: DUI Educator Arrested For DUI
Margot "Peggy" Cioffi, 59, executive director of a nonprofit agency that runs classes for people convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, was suspended without pay pending resolution of criminal charges of DUI with property damage after she struck another car with her Nissan SUV, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, resisting arrest and disorderly intoxication. Breath testing pegged Cioffi’s blood alcohol level at 0.336, reports TCPalm.com (Fort Pierce, FL); the legal limit is 0.08 percent. She headed the Comprehensive Offender Rehabilitation and Education (CORE) program since 1989.
