WHAT A HEEL!: Drunk In Tank After 19th DUI

Stephen W. Wolf, 51, of Hamilton, OH, was convicted of DUI 19 times since 1978 - the last, stemming from a hit-and-run last summer - earning him the dubious distinction of being amongst the state’s six worst drunken drivers, reports The (Cincinnati) Enquirer. At his sentencing for this latest conviction, Judge Noah Powers rebuked Wolf, “You knew a long time ago that you had a problem with drinking and driving and you've never chosen to do anything” - and sentenced him to eight years in prison. Depicting his client as “a broken man” who suffers from multiple sclerosis, leukemia and alcoholism, Wolf’s lawyer, Robert Qucsai, petitioned the court not to throw the book at him, but Butler County Prosecutor Robin Piper countered that alcoholism is not an excuse for DUI: “No disease makes you get in a car and drive.”
