NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Secret Agent Man
University of Maryland student Edgar Sullivan, 23, twice rammed his Ford Escape into a van driven by Marlon Cantoral, 30, on Interstate 95 last February. The Associated Press reports that when Cantoral fled the van and ran inside the lobby of the Patuxent Institution Correctional Facility, Sullivan followed him, shouting: “He's a terrorist. My name is Jack Bowers (Bauer) and I work for the FBI and the Secret Service. My wife and family was kidnapped by the president and terrorist.” As the victim – who may have been in the U.S. illegally – gave police a phony address and was a no-show at the court proceedings, prosecutors were forced to drop the original charge of second-degree assault and allow Sullivan to plead guilty to drunken driving, for which he received probation. Sullivan, who is in alcohol rehab, does not recall the incident, according to his lawyer.
