NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: The Worst Album I Never Heard
The March issue of Maxim magazine pans the new Black Crowes album “Warpaint,” awarding it 2.5 stars out of five. Fair enough – except for one thing: Preview CDs of the album, which is scheduled for release March 4, were not been disseminated to the media. The magazine called the review an “educated guess,” reports The Associated Press. The magazine has apologized for publishing the review, but did not indicate whether the writer would be disciplined for violating the magazine’s editorial policy to “assign star ratings only to those albums that have been heard in their entirety.”
