WHAT A HEEL!: Hair Stylist Has Hair-Trigger Temper
Monique Reed, 38, who operates a hair salon out of her Washington, PA, home, apparently didn’t like it when client Lauren Newton, 28, started complaining about her haircut. So Reed got her gun from the bedroom and fired a shot in the ceiling. When Newton and her sister were trying to run out of the house, when the sister was shot in the lower back, reports The Associated Press. The AP’s account doesn’t explain whether the shot aimed at the ceiling ricocheted and struck the sister, or whether Reed purposefully shot her. The hairstylist was charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
