Actress and writer Megahn Perry, 30, and her stepmother, Marie Perry, have teamed up to launch ExBoyfriendJewelry.com, a sort of eBay for the detritus of failed relationships – the rings, bracelets and watches shoved into the back of the jewelry box and never worn because of the painful memories they dredge up. Some women want to get rid of the stuff so badly, they give it away free or trade it for someone else’s unwanted baubles, but other items can carry heft price tags. Each item listed for sale or trade must include the story of how the relationship went awry. “If you just want to move stuff out of your life, then yes, go to eBay. But this is more than that. It's about what's attached to it,” Marie Perry tells the Chicago Tribune.
