NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Low Intelligence Meets High Voltage

 

San Francisco police are on the hunt for the would-be wire thief who cut 12,000-volt Pacific Gas and Electric Co. wires last week causing an outage affecting 500 customers and a grass fire, reports WBBM-CBS 2 (Chicago). They’ve probably been canvassing local hospitals and clinics looking for someone who resembles a marshmallow that’s been held too close to the fire. Apparently, it’s not uncommon for these dim bulbs to target high-voltage power cables - often with tragic results.
