Substitute teacher Thomas Brownlee, 56, allegedly showed up for his gig at Parkhill Junior High in Richardson, TX, drunk as a skunk, reports The Associated Press. After spending about 20 minutes with Brownlee in a classroom, another school staff member suspected he was inebriated and alerted a police officer. Brownlee, who “had slurred speech, breath smelling of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot eyes,” according to the police report, was unable to complete a field sobriety test and he was charged with public intoxication.
