WHAT A HEEL!: 9/11 Chiseler Gets Time To Watch Paint Dry
Former World Trade Center painter Mario Mastellone was sentenced to 2½ years in jail, ordered to pay $100,000 in restitution and fined $25,000 for filing a bogus claim from a Sept. 11 compensation fund, reports The Associated Press. Mastellone, who collected more than $1 million, claimed he was unable to resume painting after injuries he sustained in the terror attacks. Prosecutors presented evidence showing he was healthy enough to shovel snow and to dance at a wedding.
