NOT THE SHARPEST KNIVES IN THE DRAWER: Whoever Sketched This Mug Should Be Shot
Police interviewed a 98-year-old widow in Pontypool, Wales, after she had been fleeced of her life savings by a white, 5’ 10”, clean-shaven man in his 40s with a narrow chin and broad shoulders wearing a baseball cap, then issued a sketch of the suspect that showed more of his hat than his face, reports The Sun (London). Though the hat had no insignia or logo of any kind of it, a police spokesperson defended the featureless: “Sometimes the smallest of details can jog someone’s memory and bring about significant leads.” Not bloody likely, in this case.
