U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Assistant Chief Counsel Constantine Peter Kallas, 38, and wife Maria Kallas, 39, allegedly deposited “about $950,000 beyond Constantine Kallas' salary … in the[ir] bank accounts since 2000,” given to them by 45 illegal immigrants and two legal residents “in exchange for immigration benefits,” reports The Associated Press. The Kallas’ face charges of conspiracy, bribery, making false statements and making a false statement in an immigration application.
