WHAT HEELS: Felonious Family
When a would-be robber wearing a wig and dark glasses entered the Pizza Patron restaurant in Denton, TX, brandishing a gun frightened employee Stephanie Martinez started getting money out of the cash drawer as she had been trained to do in such circumstances. Co-worker, Rudy Sandoval suddenly began to pummel the robber and knocked him to the floor, reports The Dallas Morning News (video). Then Martinez saw it was her own father, Benjamin Ramirez.
Ramirez fled the restaurant and hopped into a pickup truck in which the pizza worker’s mother, Sonia Palacios, and husband, Miguel Martinez, were waiting. All three have been charged with aggravated robbery (though the “gun” turned out to be a toy) and the two parents have been detained on immigration violations.
