ON THE CUTTING EDGE: Solar Eclipse On Friday!

At precisely 7:09 AM EDT on Friday a total solar eclipse will reach its peak. Unless you happen to find yourself in the right place at the right time in Canada, Greenland, Russia, China or Mongolia, your best bet is to watch the astronomical event occur in real time on NASA’s Web site. Another solar eclipse is expected to occur on July 22, 2009 that can be seen in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and China – if a raging monsoon doesn’t blot out the entire sky.
