NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Caulking Gun Toting Thief Can’t Get Into Idling Getaway Car
Brandishing what turned out to be a caulking gun, John Wilkinson, 24, of Big Spring, TX allegedly robbed the Stanton Drug Store of Zanax and hydrocodine (generic Vicodin), and then tried to make a quick getaway in his car, which was idling outside, reports The Associated Press. Unfortunately for him, he had locked his keys in the car so he made a run for it. Police arriving on the scene thought he was packing heat and shot him in the shoulder. After being treated, he was booked into the county jail on a charge of armed robbery.
