WHAT HEELS!: Problem Problem Solvers

 

The Wall Street Journal reports about an emerging new corporate management issue: Fake problems purposely created to make the employee who solves them look good. The ploy, dubbed “Munchausen at work” by Georgia Institute of Technology business professor Nathan Bennett, can lead to perpetrators getting undeserved promotions or acknowledgment, spurring them to try to pull the stunt again.
