NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Or, He Could Have Been Pelted With Eggs Instead
House Minority Leader John Boehner’s office in West Chester, OH, was evacuated when staffers became alarmed after noticing that a package mailed from GA was leaking a greasy substance, reports WLWT-Channel 5 (Cincinnati). An X-ray of the suspicious package revealed it contained bacon. Apparently, an aggrieved voter wanted to garnish the $700 billion “crap sandwich” - which is how the GOP legislator described the pork-laden Wall Street bailout bill, though he still voted to pass it - with some bacon. For some reason, authorities are continuing to investigate the incident, even after determining the package was a protest and not a threat.
