ON THE CUTTING EDGE: New Gmail App Gives You “Mail Goggles”
If you’re in the habit of shooting off drunken E-mail rants on Friday or Saturday nights, Google’s Gmail Labs is testing a new feature it calls “Mail Goggles” which will slow down your itchy trigger finger by forcing you to solve a few simple math problems before you can send the e-mail. But depending on how wasted you are, those math questions may not be easy enough, which probably means you should put the mouse down and crawl away from your computer. Teetotalers can adjust the Mail Goggles default settings to whatever days and times they are most likely to send E-mails they wished they hadn’t.
