WHAT A HEEL: Service With A Slur

When Keith Slater, 22, returned a pair of shoes he bought at the Oak Park Mall branch of the Journeys chain, the printed receipt he got back cited this reason the shoes were brought back: Cust: Dumb N****r, reports KMBC-TV (Channel 9, Kansas City, MO). Journeys parent company Genesco issued this statement:

 

While we are continuing to investigate this incident, it now appears that an employee in one of our stores entered highly inappropriate statements in a form used to process a merchandise return. Needless to say, such an act was not authorized by Journeys, and will not be tolerated. This employee has been terminated.
